On Monday, Aug. 21, 22-year-old Marcquise Porter was arrested for his involvement in the Uniondale disturbance, which happened two days prior, Nassau County Police said.
The victim, a 24-year-old man contacted the police on Saturday, Aug. 19 at approximately 5:30 p.m. to report that he had been the subject of a road rage incident.
Porter, a Roosevelt resident, reportedly shot multiple rounds at the victim, striking his car twice. Police did not provide additional information related to where the incident occurred or anything that preceded it.
He was located on Cedar Street in West Hempstead, where he was arrested.
While in custody, police reported finding Porter to be in possession of crack cocaine.
He is charged with the following:
- Attempted murder
- Reckless endangerment
- Criminal use of a firearm, two counts
- Criminal possession of a weapon, two counts
- Criminal possession of a firearm
- Menacing
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance
Porter is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at First District Court in Hempstead.
